Its that time of year again, the official kick-off to a new year. We're not talking the actual New Years holiday...anyone around here knows the truth- we're talking Wes' birthday! He took a vacation day and stayed home on his birthday. I returned home after a long day of work to find the boys having had an amazing day playing, reading books, watching movies, Kaleb took a nap and Wes got to read his books. Paradise indeed for good ole' Wes :) That night, we had shrimp scampi (his new favorite) and of course birthday cake. His birth week concluded with a great win by the Broncos. What more could he ask for!
Wes and his "Spaghetti Cake". Its real cake made to look like a pan of spaghetti. Turns out Wes got shrimp scampi and spaghetti (well sort of anyways) both for his birthday meal.

Opening presents... Kaleb quickly confiscated Wes' $33 he received from me ;)
Then, it was time for present opening.
If you know Wes and Kaleb... you can guess what our house sounded like as the following pictures unfolded. Pure joy as Wes opened up only about 56 dvds worth of "24". The guy is in heaven...and praying for another 3 day blizzard to get a kick start on watching them all. Thanks Bob & Bonnie!
