The Quietness of Winter

Simply quiet.  That pretty much sums up the year 2013 so far.Well, compared to what life is like most of the time.  Our weeks have flowed by and for once I can really truly say we've got into the routine of winter.  Off to work, a quiet weekend and back at it again.  In January, Wes celebrated his birthday.  Kaleb had a great time with the candle and totally gets the concept of a 'birthday'.
We went to the Stock Show and Rodeo.  Kaleb had a great time watching the 'jumping' horses (broncs) and kept saying 'oh no' and 'out' at the end of each ride.  He loved it and stayed awake for the entire thing.
Last week, we made our Valentine's Day cards for all the Grandma's and Grandpa's and Aunties and Uncles... stickers are so much fun!
And, Grandpa Roth made a surprise visit- oh, it was fun :)

The kid loves balloons- he's hauled this one around so much that the ribbon attached to it has actually came apart in threads.  The most fun you'll get for $2.50.
Then, we checked out what was inside the Valentine's box...

Chocolate- the kid knew immediately what it was, had Dad tear it open and
popped a huge caramel right in his mouth.
 Checking out the goodies...
And last but definitely NOT least... his very own pez dispenser.
Thank you Miss. Eliot for teaching him the joy of pez.

Our wild adventure for the month of February has been a mini-cation this past weekend.  It was simple and we had a blast.  After church yesterday, we packed up and headed to The Lodge in Deadwood for a night of swimming.  Kaleb loved it!  And, we had a great time hanging out and swimming.  His new swim trunks are crazy cute and he absolutely loves swimming.  We got up this morning and... ate leftover pizza for breakfast then headed back to the pool. It was a great time of just relaxing and having fun.

 Our burrito baby :)
Finally, he conceeded that he needed to 'warm-up'.  He had a blast...and we did too!

Life is Good!
