"For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in a secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth."
Psalm 139:13-15
These past weeks, I've really been frequently remembering and praying for our child's birthmother. And, in doing so, God has been reminding me alot this past week that He is knitting our child in her womb. We pray frequently for her, that she has food, water and that she stays as healthy as possible. Alot of days, my prayer for her is that her burdens of the day are lighter and that she can see God's provision in taking care of her. Because, God's got it under control. Duh, He always does. But, even though we are here and she is there- in a different country, across an ocean and in an entirely different way of living, He sees us just the same. He's taking care of her, knitting our child just the way he/she is meant to be. What amazing reassurance that our little one is going to be just fine. And, as another reminder of how God orchestrates all things- Pastor Ron focused on this verse this morning at church too. Coincidence, I think not.
We like to call that another exmple of God's 'random' I-pod. : )
So, if you think of it these coming days and weeks, maybe when you see an obviously expectant mother, say a quick prayer for God's little knitting project in Africa if you would. We've got faith God only cranks out masterpieces and we can't wait to see what He reveals to us.
