Dossier Assignment
We've got our next assignment- completing the Dossier packet. And its big! The set of instructions and forms alone that we were forwarded is 47 pages long alone. This will take us awhile but that's ok. We're waiting on our reference letters and police clearances before we can start our homestudy interviews. Till then, we're studying up on the fine print details/instructions and 'stuff'....stay tuned!

Drop Off #1
We've officially turned in our first big packet of paperwork! The list of paperwork was over 30 pages long plus our autobiographies made it a big stack. Wes' 14 pages of autobio plus my 16 (ya, I know.... kinda got a little long winded) plus the paperwork packet means we've successfully accomplished over 60 pages of 'stuff' in the past 2 weeks!

Prickly Progress
This week has been really busy working on all sorts of adoptiong paperwork and requirements. The good news... is, that last night we submitted our formal application!!!
This will get our references, police clearances and lots of other verifications moving forward. We're hoping to have our autobiography done by this weekend and the entire packet of stuff turned in Monday. As of Thursday, we both now have our physicals, TB test, HIV testing and Urine Analysis completed. We both despise needles but gave up a bunch of blood to help prove we're fit and able.
Next step....is scheduling our home study interviews and home assessment visit.

Here We Go...
Here we go on the journey of a lifetime. A journey that we feel God has called us to. A journey that we believe and pray will find us as parents of a child from Ethiopia. If you haven't heard 'the news'- that's right, we're adopting from Ethiopia! We've been praying, talking and thinking about this decision for a few months now and, are so excited to be starting this process!! So, come along for the ride- all we ask is for you to uphold us, our future child and the adoption process in prayer.
We are fortunate to have Bethany, a local adoption agency, which handles Ethiopian adoptions to work with. Bethany Christian Services will be helping us along our journey, we're so thankful that they're literally down the street from Wes' work instead of somewhere across the country. So, you probably have lots of questions...
How long will the process take?
Its up to God and His plan but we're estimating around 12-16 months until our little one is home.
Boy or Girl?
God only knows...literally!
How old?
Baby Roth will probably be less than a year old when we're home together as a family.
That's all for now folks, we're off to keep working on paperwork...stay tuned!
